about

Problem Solving Approach (PSA):

Use this process to effectively close performance gaps by getting to the true root cause and implementing effective, sustainable countermeasures. PSA gives a systematic framework for solving problems in every area of the business. It should be applied any time there is a gap in performance between where we are and where we want to be.

Existing Process Mapping (EPM)

It is an assessment tool used to visually represent all of the process steps that are required to complete a product or service. This visual enables us to identify obstacles to flow or disconnects in our process and allows for data-based decisions on where to focus improvement. EPM helps us "see the whole" and avoid sub-optimization in one area.

Existing Process Improvement (EPI)

It is a rigorous, advanced program to drive sustainable improvements. EPI is used to eliminate waste and creating work flow while maintaining quality and meeting customer expectations for delivery. EPI event is conducted as a kaizen event, with the current EPM as a key element of the pre-work.

Kaizen:

It is the mindset of continuous improvement and the belief that we can always do better. A kaizen event is a team-based continuous improvement process used any time the focused effort of a team is needed to drive improvement or creation of a process.

Standard Work:

It is a standardized process that enables us to meet or exceed our customers' quality, delivery and cost requirements. It must be documented, understood, followed and effective. Standard Work maximizes consistent, repeatable performance and minimizes waste by enabling the best combination of people and process. It is about working smarter, not harder.
